Laser Skin Treatments
A fresher complexion, firmer-feeling skin, and a more youthful appearance are some of the most noticeable benefits of laser skin treatments. If you’re looking to reduce crow’s feet, forehead lines, under-eye circles, brown spots, or other facial blemishes, laser skin treatments may be a beneficial option. At our Evansville, Indiana office, Dr. Paik and Shay Glisson, FNP-BC, provide several laser skin treatments to help patients achieve a smoother, more youthful aesthetic.
Most patients of Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery experience best results with 3+ laser treatments. We offer package discounts for combined treatments to achieve optimal results.
MOXI® Laser by Sciton
The MOXI® Laser by Sciton is an innovative solution designed for “prejuvenation,” helping patients address early signs of skin aging and sun damage before they progress. With a gentle, non-ablative 1927nm fractional laser, MOXI revitalizes skin tone and texture, encouraging collagen production for a naturally radiant appearance. Safe for all skin types and suitable for year-round use, MOXI provides a convenient, effective treatment option with little to no downtime, making it perfect for patients just starting their skincare journey or looking for light skin refreshment.
- Prejuvenation at Its Best: MOXI® is perfect for patients looking to prevent or reduce the first signs of aging, such as uneven tone and fine lines. This gentle laser stimulates collagen production and refreshes the skin’s surface without aggressive treatments. It’s an excellent choice for patients who wish to maintain a youthful, healthy glow over time.
- Fast, Flexible, and Perfect for Everyone: MOXI treatments are quick—typically taking under 30 minutes—and can be adjusted to suit individual skin needs. Its versatility allows safe and effective use on all skin types, ensuring a personalized approach to your skincare goals.
- Year-Round Radiance: Unlike many other laser treatments, MOXI is safe for all seasons, making it a flexible choice regardless of sun exposure. Patients can keep up with their skincare routines year-round without disrupting their lifestyle.
- Glow Without the Downtime: MOXI offers a gentle yet effective solution, requiring little-to-no downtime while delivering impressive results. Patients often see improvements in skin tone, texture, and clarity after a single session, with optimal benefits achieved through a series of treatments.
- Next-Level Results with BBL® HEROic™: Pairing MOXI with BBL HEROic, Sciton's newest BBL therapy system , allows for comprehensive skin rejuvenation. While MOXI smooths and refreshes, BBL HEROic targets discoloration and sun damage, creating a synergistic effect for radiant, evenly toned skin.
Rohrer Spectrum Laser
- 810-Diode Hair Removal: The Spectrum laser is a superb choice for patients who are seeking hair removal. With its large spot size and high-rate of pulses per second, hair removal treatments are quick and effective. The Spectrum laser also offers contact cooling for enhanced patient comfort. During the procedure, hair follicles are destroyed to prevent future hair growth. For optimal results, Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery suggests 5-10 treatments over the course of several weeks.
- Intense Pulsed Light: The intense pulsed light (IPL) component of the Spectrum laser offers four settings for different procedures, including acne reduction, vascular and pigmented lesion removal, and hair reduction. These procedures are gentle and offer little to no discomfort. Many patients of Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery opt for IPL treatments with the Spectrum laser for its versatility and fast-acting results.
- Long-Pulsed Yag – Vascular Reduction: One of the top uses for the Spectrum laser’s LongPulsed Yag is reduction of vascular lesions, more commonly known as spider veins. This condition is caused by sun damage, sitting for long periods of time, aging, and other common issues. The Long-Pulsed Yag targets blood vessels by using energy to heat, damage, and collapse them. Once collapses, patients notice a smoother surface of the skin and less vein visibility.
- Q-Switched Yag/KTP – Tattoo Removal: For patients who wish to hide or remove an unwanted tattoo, the Spectrum laser’s Q-Switched Yag / KTP device uses dual wavelengths to remove tattoo pigments from the skin. The laser breaks down the pigments into smaller particles, allowing them to be absorbed and recycled through the skin. Depending on the size of the tattoo to be removed, patients may just need a few treatments or several; the quantity of suggested treatments will be discussed in your initial consultation.
- Erbium Yag – Skin Resurfacing: This procedure addresses surface pigmentation, fine lines, and wrinkles on the face, neck, chest, and hands. Depending on the patient’s needs and aesthetic goals, the treatment may be tailored for either superficial or deeper treatments. Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery recommends combining this procedure with other treatments such as Pixel 8 RF microneedling for even more enhanced results.
